This workshop will empower partnerships between parents-sonographers-sonologists-and referrers with teamwork and communication resulting in better care and outcomes, particularly when unexpected findings are discovered. Attend or Live-stream.
The aim of this workshop is to improve the communications with and care of parents during obstetric ultrasound examinations, in particular in the event of adverse and unexpected findings. It will introduce and explore new guidelines developed by a multidisciplinary team of experts from sonography, obstetrics, and radiology, and present simulated clinical encounters from parents with lived experience for discussion. It will be valuable to sonographers, radiologists, obstetricians, midwives, and all professionals involved in supporting pregnant women.
