The Patient Experience: Navigating Care for Trauma Patients

28 August| 6PM – 8PM (AEST) | ONLINE

Overview

The QLD Branch welcomes all MRS professionals to this webinar.
Traumatic Injury presents unique challenges for everyone involved in the care of the patient. The initial presentation of a patient following trauma is also just the start of a potentially long journey for that patient on their road to recovery. To ensure trauma patients have a positive experience within our departments we must adapt our patient care and expand our knowledge in this area.

Join us for this event as we examine the patient journey from traumatic injury to recovery. We will discuss the phases of care that a Trauma patient experiences and we will explore how our clinical practice feels for Trauma patients on that journey.

At the end of this webinar, participants will:

  • Know the various needs that may need to be met during clinical interactions for patients who have been subject to acute significant trauma, and/or along their road to recovery
  • Describe various challenges that may arise for MRS practitioners
  • Know how we can adapt our care to ensure that patients who have suffered a traumatic injury have the best possible experience within our departments throughout their journey
