Abstract submissions open!

Queensland student members are encouraged to submit EOIs for the upcoming Student Paper Night. Prepare a 12 minute pre-recorded presentation to be shared at this online event.

There are two Travelling Student Fellowship awards to be won, one for a medical imaging student presentation and another for a radiation therapy student presentation. The successful applicants will score $1,500 to attend and present at ASMIRT’s Annual Conference held in Darwin, 2024. This is a great opportunity to become involved with radiographers and radiation therapists from all over Australia and overseas. 

Papers are usually an individual effort but joint presentations are also acceptable. There are various topic areas and styles you can choose for presentation. Topics in medical imaging and radiation therapy covering techniques, recent developments, patient care and organisation/process development are all relevant. Literature reviews of comparative techniques, as well as case studies which illustrate the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of a certain process are common approaches. 

Complete the abstract submission form and email it to cec.queensland@gmail.com by 5pm Sunday 27th of August.

Join the QLD Branch to listen and support student presentations.  This event gives students a platform to showcase their research projects, case studies and growing knowledge. The paper night provides continuing professional education to members of the medical radiation professions (medical imaging, radiation therapy, ultrasound, mammography and nuclear medicine).
