The NSW branch committee invites you to join us at NSW Open Branch Meeting to be held online on 19 July 2022. The meeting includes discussion on upcoming events and initiatives of the branch members and committees. This will be a beneficial event for both MRS professionals across all modalities, students, and academics.

The committee is pleased to invite Dr Michael Chan as a Guest Speaker at the branch meeting. Dr Chan will present on Ultrasound elastography, he will describe and demonstrate its uses, benefits, and pitfalls. Through this educational presentation on elastography, participants will be able to understand the capabilities of Ultrasound elastography.
Dr Michael Chan
Dr Chan graduated from the University of New South Wales School of Medicine in 2012. He completed radiology training at Concord Hospital in 2020, where he is currently a staff specialist and associate clinical lecturer with the University of Sydney. He completed his fellowship in cardiothoracic imaging in 2021 at Toronto General Hospital, Canada.
Michael is a CTCA level B and cardiac MRI accredited specialist with corresponding Level 3 SCCT and Level 2 SCMR membership. His commitment to research in areas of cardiothoracic imaging and liver imaging have culminated in receiving the RANZCR Early Career Researchers Prize (2018 and 2021), ARGANZ Mendelson Research Prize (2019), and RANZCR Thomas Baker Fellowship Prize (2020).
