National Radiographers and Radiation Therapists’ Week is coming so start planning to celebrate your profession!

National Radiographers and Radiation Therapists’ Week (NRRTW) runs from Monday 7 to Sunday 13 November 2022. This a week when we get to celebrate you – Medical Radiation Practitioners – and the vital role our profession plays in health care.

We want you join in with others from your department and promote your achievements and camaraderie and educate your local community on the life-changing work involved in Radiography and Radiation Therapy.

This year’s theme is Medical Radiation Practitioners – at the forefront of patient safety.

NRRTW is a time to educate – your patients, your families, and the public about the invaluable service you perform in the allied health sector. Show your patients and the public that you are part of a distinct, highly skilled profession. You are all ambassadors for your profession—showcase your story and the role you play in the healthcare industry! Inform patients about what your hospital/clinic and department is doing to improve patient safety and care.

World Radiography Day – Tuesday 8 November

On November 8 in 1895, Wilhelm Roentgen discovered X-rays. During National Radiographer and Radiation Therapists’ Week, take time to reflect on where the profession is headed, how you contribute to the future of the profession and what you can do on a daily basis to benefit the growth of medical radiation sciences.
