Dr Joseph Bucci trained in Medical and Radiation Oncology and has more than 17 years’ experience in the treatment of a number of different types of cancer, with a clinical research interest in quality assurance in brachytherapy. He has a particular interest in the management of urological malignancies. Dr Bucci trained in prostate brachytherapy at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in 2000-01 in Vancouver. He has held senior positions at the St. George Hospital Cancer Centre and the St. George Private Hospital. He attained his fellowship in Medical Oncology in 1997 and went on to attain a Fellow of the RANZ College of Radiologists in 2000. He is the ex-Chair of the Australian Brachytherapy Group a position which he held from 2011 to 2013. Andrew Howie is currently the Director of Medical Physics at St George Cancer Care Centre.  He has 24 years of experience as a medical physicist, and over 20 of those years have included a strong involvement in brachytherapy. Andrew set up the HDR brachytherapy physics program at St George in 2011 and was instrumental in the clinical implementation of all HDR treatment sites including breast, skin and real-time prostate brachytherapy.  He has worked with both PDR and HDR afterloading systems as well as I-125 for LDR prostate treatments. Before stepping into the Director role, Andrew took care of the radiation safety, dosimetry and education portfolios at St George.

Joel Poder is a medical physicist at St George Hospital Cancer Care Centre in Sydney where he leads the brachytherapy, stereotactic radiotherapy, and research portfolios. Joel also holds honorary research fellow positions at both the University of Wollongong, and University of Sydney.
