The Asia Pacific Bioethics Education Network aims to bring together experts in bioethics education at institutions in the Asia Pacific region in order to create linkages, and facilitate collaboration and sharing of ideas, innovations and materials to enhance bioethics education.

Following three successful APBEN conferences held in Hong Kong, in 2021 the conference will be held virtually and hosted by Deakin University, Australia from 27-30 May 2021. The online program will enable participation and engagement by a professionally diverse group of attendees from around the world.

Bioethics education is vital in assisting students, providers, policy makers and the public-at-large understand and address key ethical, legal and social questions involved with health care. These bioethical issues arise in the context of a variety of social, cultural and institutional contexts that are important to appreciate and understand.

The Asia Pacific Bioethics Education Network aims to help current and future health care providers be as aware of and able to address these issues as possible.
