Presenter:

Dr James Stanley is a biostatistician at the University of Otago, Wellington NZ. His research spans public health and clinical research, with a focus on cancer outcomes, tobacco control and the impact of experience of racism on health. He also reviews articles for many journals and has been Statistical Editor for JMRS since 2018. In this presentation, James will discuss some top-level considerations about key statistical choices for common study designs, with some recent articles as case studies. The presentation will be relatively brief to allow time for discussion and extension of this topic.
