Consultation on the second stage of potential reforms to the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law is now closed. A key aspect of the consultation process was a direct engagement with stakeholders through a series of national forums. The Darwin forum was held on 27 September 2018
A consultation paper has been released by the COAG Health Council entitled Regulation of Australias health professions_Keeping the National Law up to date and fit for purpose. A Proposals and Issues Summary and Response template are also available. Further information can be found at the COAG Health Council website.
The forum was not intended to be a detailed briefing on every proposal for reform. Instead it was an opportunity to engage in discussion with other stakeholders on issues of shared interest.
