| Dear Member When I wrote to the membership twelve months ago, we were in the midst of the escalating pandemic. There was no vaccine in sight, and the future looked a little bleak to say the least. How things have changed and what a tumultuous twelve months it has been. I’d like to thank each and every one of our members for their continued support of the Society through these times, and I trust that we have been able to support you in turn. Medical Radiation professionals are wonderful, passionate and driven people. Often we advance the interests of our patients at the expense of our own well-being. We all did our best to find a path through the unchartered territory of last year, and there were times that many of us felt tired, exhausted, and possibly overwhelmed by what was occurring. But here we are. We all did an amazing job through extremely challenging times. NEW MEMBER BENEFITS While hopefully those times are now well and truly behind us, we are continuing to provide a range of health and wellbeing resources to members, which can be accessed via the member portal. In particular, we are pleased to provide regular missives on resilience, coping strategies and life skills from EAP Assist. Throughout the year we also brought a number of new member benefits to you, including additional webinars and CPD offerings, as well as continuing with our benefits from NobleOak, eIntegrity, Member Advantage, CAMRT and more. ASMIRT also continues to support members in their educational advances including; the new Preliminary Image Interpretation (PIE) certification exam added to our exam suite, publications Spectrum and the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences, along with the security of Professional Indemnity Insurance from industry leaders Guild Insurance for their professional life. MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FOR FULL MEMBERS
Membership renewal information for the membership year – 1 July 2021-30 June 2022
There is a very slight increase in the member contribution this year, reflecting CPI, and it should be noted that fees have not been increased for a couple of years.
That being said, we are offering a number of interesting options around payment which will enable you to continue to access last year’s rate: · Our early bird rate is open until 18 May for those who wish to pay the full annual contribution upfront. This is the same as last year’s membership contribution.
· Should you wish to pay upfront but miss the Early Bird, then you will need to pay the full contribution amount.
· Should you wish to pay by Direct Debit, the Early Bird rate will apply until 30 June.
· From July 1, Direct Debit will be set at the full contribution amount.
Our payment portal is now open for you to renew your ASMIRT Membership for another year. To renew your membership, please visit the payment portal using the link and your exclusive Quick Renewal Code – both can be found in your email sent week commencing 3 May 2021.
