WHAT IS MENTORING?
Mentoring is a valuable tool to link future and current members of our profession and support their personal and professional development. The ASMIRT Mentoring Program aims to empower mentees as they join or advance in the workforce, and assist their mentors with leadership skills, interpersonal communication and CPD.
HOW TO JOIN
The program is open to ASMIRT members across Australia.
The second round of applications opens on 24 July 2021 and closes 13 August 2021.
The program will run through until the end of the year but is flexible and designed to suit each pairing.
Round 1 involved over 60 participants ranging from first year students and new graduates, to managers and University Heads of Discipline in ACT and NSW. Almost 90% of mentees and mentors said the program was very or extremely helpful for their personal and professional development. 100% of mentees and mentors reported experiencing the full complement of benefits such as improved leadership skills and access to helpful connections and opportunities.
I have really liked interacting with others and supporting them. I feel like each session is beneficial to both parties
[My mentor] has helped me feel empowered and enhanced my experiences. I believe this program is extremely worthwhile
No experience is needed, just a passion for success in medical radiation practice and connecting with others in the profession. Anyone at any level can apply for either role – or even both!
All applicants will have the opportunity to start the guided program by attending a workshop (online, Thursday 19 August, 7pm AEST) led by experts in mentoring.
The program and workshop are FREE and is only available to ASMIRT members.
This form is not currently accepting EOIs, on Saturday 24 July it will be open and active.
