Our major equipment includes Varian and Elekta Linacs, including a Unity Linac; dedicated CT and MRI scanners; Monaco RTPS, MiM Maestro, Mobius, WoMed units, brachytherapy along with an extensive suite of phantom and dosimetry equipment and software. We provide optimal patient care via our extensive stereotactic & external beam therapy programme, HDR brachytherapy, personalised planning, robust quality assurance activities and ongoing professional development.

THE POSITION

We currently seek a Senior Radiation Therapist (Grade 4) with exceptional collaboration skills, a wide network of clinical, industry, investigator and academic partners, coupled to high acuity for innovation to join our newly established Research Team. Headed by a Director of Research, Research Medical Physicist, Trial Co-ordinators, Biostatistician and Clinical Research Fellows, this opportunity will strengthen our ability to deliver our vision.

You will positively influence the ability of Radiation Oncology to successfully initiate and participate in clinical research trials, seek funding through successful grant opportunities to bolster our strategic research goals and possess a proven interest to share your knowledge.
As a committed professional you will have extensive experience in current Radiotherapy practice with excellent technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills together with a desire to advance clinical practice through research.

The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, as they occur and be flexible is highly desirable. In addition, it is important that applicants be open to and supportive of change and innovation through the use of evidence-based research methodology. You will be required to educate and support the clinical team, fostering a positive and proactive approach to promoting the service and our research endeavours.

The successful applicant will maintain an important role in research governance and promotion in combination with the Director of Research and the wider team. Coupled to your proven research history and contribution to scientific learning, via presentations and papers, a conjunct academic position may be offered to the successful candidate.
