Senior Radiation Therapist Tamworth Hospital
About the Role
Tamworth Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take the next step in their career and be responsible for the provision of efficient and safe patient centred radiation therapy services to include all aspects of simulation, planning and treatment delivery whilst also providing support and leadership to a small team of radiation therapists. The role is part of the Radiation Therapy leadership team, and works closely with the Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to provide safe and efficient patient-centred radiation therapy to the community in the New England and North West. The role will lead and support a small team of radiation therapists.
You will be supported by the Chief Radiation Therapist and Radiation Therapy Supervisor, with regular seniors meetings. You will have support to access to a wide range of education and training opportunities, both in updating clinical practice knowledge and skills and in leadership skills development. NSW Health offer a range of virtual as well as face-to-face training programs to develop people management skills. You will have the opportunity to develop a training plan with your manager within the first 3 months of service.

About You
You are a positive leader, committed to workplace harmony. You communicate respectfully, and maintain effective relationships with staff and managers. You have advanced clinical skills in treatment planning, delivery and quality assurance, with the ability to educate and support RT staff in current and new practices and technologies e.g. SABR. You have a strong interest in leading and managing a small team, with foundational leadership ability. You can successfully develop and implement changes in practice.
