The goal of the laboratory is to have work translated into frameworks for early identification and treatment of chronic diseases directly improving clinical outcomes for patients.

We have multiple full time Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellowship opportunities under the supervision of Professor Stuart Grieve within the Imaging and Phenotyping Laboratory.

As the Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Professor Grieve and other high profile academic, clinical and industry collaborators to develop, design and conduct research that has high impact and clinical relevance and to publish work in high impact journals. The four opportunities consist of:

These projects include supporting MRFF Frontiers project Biomarkers of Coronary Artery Disease, NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Cardiovascular Disease, NSW Cardiovascular Initiative BioBanking project

  1. Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroimaging, supporting BrainPassport – a project integrating clinical data, multi-‘omics’ and imaging that aims to understand cognitive and emotional dysfunction across the continuum of brain injury/concussion, depression and dementia. This includes NHMRC Depression Pharmacogenomics study (ALIGNED) and the AU-ARROW dementia study.

  1. Postdoctoral Fellow in data science including AI/machine learning, supporting multiple projects which all share a common data architecture, and combine imaging with other types of data including genetics, clinical data, other forms of “omics” (metabolomics, proteomics etc), and any other available “phenotype” information
