About the Role
A busy and fulfilling position within a population based breast screening program working at Tamworth and on mobile screening vans across the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). You will form an integral part of the dynamic multi-disciplinary team is this rewarding role as you undertake all aspects of radiography for BreastScreen NSW Hunter New England (HNE), demonstrating a high level of clinical expertise in the performance of breast imaging.
About BreastScreen
BreastScreen NSW HNE is part of BreastScreen Australia – a national program which aims to reduce mortality and morbidity from breast cancer through early detection of the disease.
The service has two fixed screening and assessment centres (at Newcastle and Tamworth) and five mobile units provide screening services at 46 locations throughout the Hunter New England LHD region.
About You
You are a dedicated Radiographer or Mammography Technologist with effective communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service to clients. Experience in high quality mammography is preferred but training is available for the successful applicant.
Job share arrangements will be considered however the successful candidate must have availability to work away on the mobile unit for up to 6 days at a time.
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
