About the Role

  • Apply specialised clinical practice skills and competencies in line with best practice standards and BSQ policies, protocols and procedures for screening and assessment, through regular performance of mammographic screening, diagnostic imaging, stereotactic core biopsies and quality assurance activities, independent of supervision, as part of the state-wide clinical multidisciplinary team within the BSQ Expanded Service Delivery Model (ESDM).
  • Apply specialist knowledge of contemporary breast imaging practice, the early detection of breast cancer using mammography and its application within the BreastScreen Australia Program.
  • Lead state-wide imaging quality assurance and improvement plans, standards, protocols and procedures for the BSQ program, including the development of a state-wide imaging quality group work plan to support state and local service performance and compliance against national accreditation standards.
  • High level provision of strategic and operational problem solving and planning skills within a multidisciplinary team setting at a state and local level.
