The Role:

The Operational Manager – Medical Imaging Services (Chief Radiographer) oversees the operational and strategic direction of Radiology Launceston General Hospital, encompassing clinical practice and financial, human resource and physical resource management within the department. The occupant will:

  • Undertake line management responsibility for all staff.
  • Provide instruction to Radiographers in advanced medical imaging practices and coordinate the teaching of student radiographers and medical students.
  • Spend significant time engaged in hands-on advanced clinical practice.

Details of Appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight.

Salary: 

$141,713 per annum + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health professional Level 5, Grade 4, Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
  • AHPRA Registration

Successful applicants may also meet the desirable criteria:

  1. Post graduate qualifications in management and/or health administration
