The Opportunity
The Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences is seeking to appoint an outstanding Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Radiographer).
This position will be working within Monash’s Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, which aims to prepare students for effective and ethical professional practice in medical radiation sciences and to pursue careers in radiography, medical ultrasound, radiation therapy and research. Continuously sustained student numbers in this discipline have seen the department’s success continue over time, with a key factor being the department’s talented academic and professional staff.
The Lecturer or Senior Lecturer is expected to make significant contributions to innovative teaching and research of the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences and will play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities, especially in MRI, CT and radiography subjects. As such, candidates with clinical and teaching experiences in MRI will be preferred.
For the Lecturer position, we are seeking someone with a doctoral or a masters qualification in Medical Imaging/Radiography or equivalent. Practitioners with a Bachelor degree in Medical Imaging/Radiography with clinical and teaching experience will be considered. You will also hold current registration or be eligible to hold current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA).
For the Senior Lecturer position, we are seeking someone with a doctoral or masters qualification in Medical Imaging/Radiography or equivalent and recognised significant teaching experience. There is an expectation that you will have a successful track record of research funding and high-quality peer-reviewed publications as well as hold current registration or be eligible to hold current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA).
The successful applicant will be appointed at either Level B or Level C, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Please specify in your cover letter the level that you are applying for.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
