Our Medical Imaging Department delivers a 24-hour service across both Royal Darwin Hospital and Palmerston Regional Hospital utilising modern equipment

We are looking for a Director of the Medical Imaging Department to lead our team in performing a broad range of diagnostic imaging across modalities including; General Radiography, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Theatre Imaging, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Angiography and Fluoroscopy.

Currently the Director is responsible for leading a team of approximately 100 FTE staff, including Radiographers, Sonographers, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Nurses and Administrative staff. A service redesign project is currently underway, and once complete the Director of Medical Imaging will additionally oversee the Cyclotron and Magnetic Resonance Imaging operations, and 125 FTE total staffing. This role oversees staff at two sites, the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Regional Hospitals, with some input into operations at Katherine and Gove District Hospitals.
