The hospital has a busy medical imaging department which services the region seven days per week. Modalities include x-ray, OPG, ultrasound, CT, theatre and mobile imaging, MRI and mammography. Our department services emergency, inpatients and outpatients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Chief medical imaging technologist oversees a staff of 7 medical imaging technologists, 3 sonographers, 1 MRI technician, 1 mammographer, 5 administrative clerks, 3 medical imaging assistants, and two nurses. This role is the perfect opportunity for a senior medical imaging technologist to take the next step in career progression. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency as a Registered Medical Imaging Technologist
• Current Western Australian Radiological Council radiation licence
• Previous supervisory experience in specific areas of medical imaging.
• Extensive specialised knowledge and performance in one or more modalities.
• Experience supervising staff, overseeing quality assurance programs, radiation safety requirements and PACS/RIS administration.
• Effective communication and human resources experience to lead and manage a busy department.
