The Breast Imaging Radiographer – Director position is of a clinical and administrative nature. It is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all aspects of the breast imaging service provided by Radiographers at the BreastScreen Wide Bay Service, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The Breast Imaging Radiographer – Director is accountable for the maintenance of a high standard of client care, technical expertise, departmental organisation and the on-going professional developmental of all Radiographers within the service.
Provide, manage, lead and plan mammography screening and multi-modal assessment services for BreastScreen Queensland Wide Bay Service and adjacent health service to ensure high quality client care in accordance with BreastScreen Queensland Policies and Procedures and BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards.
Provide expertise in Mammography and Breast Sonography, in a consultative and support capacity to the BreastScreen Queensland Wide Bay Service and the BreastScreen Queensland Program.
The Chief Radiographer reports operationally to the Service Manager and professionally to the Clinical Director at the Wide Bay Service.
